Professor Sir Michael Ndonfack Nkwenti is a seasoned expert in pedagogy and educational technologies, with nearly 30 years of experience in teaching and teacher training. He is currently the Inspector of Pedagogy in charge of Educational Technologies at the Ministry of Basic Education in Cameroon for over 18 years, and an Associate Professor in Instructional Design and Educational Technologies at the Higher Teacher Training College (ENS) of the University of Yaoundé I.

After an initial degree in Electrical Engineering from the Higher Technical Teacher Training College at the University of Douala, he began his career teaching in technical secondary education for a decade. Driven by a passion for pedagogical innovation, he earned a German government scholarship to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in e-Learning Development and Implementation at the Tele-Akademie, Hochschule Furtwangen University in Germany.

He later received a Commonwealth of Learning scholarship to complete a Master’s in Instructional Design and Educational Technologies at Open University Malaysia, where he received the prestigious University Book Prize Award for academic excellence. This recognition encouraged him to pursue a PhD in Educational Technologies at the same institution.

Professor Nkwenti is widely acknowledged across the continent for his contributions to distance education and the development of digital learning content. He has supported over 15 African universities in putting their programs online, including the Faculty of Education at the University of Buea. He has also served as a consultant in educational technology for numerous national and international projects supported by UNESCO (Central Africa Regional Office) and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).

A prolific researcher, he is the author or co-author of 25 scientific publications in the fields of education, ICT, and instructional design. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the University of Yaoundé I, where he actively contributes to the design and implementation of continuing pedagogical training for university lecturers.
